This is a very dark roast, although not as dark as our French Roast, which is extremely dark. Our Italian Roast features Costa Rican Tarrazu beans -- grown high in the Costa Rican mountains in the rich, volcanic soil that imparts to this coffee its distinctive characteristics. Open the bag, and you'll find ebony-colored oily beans with sharp flavors of dark roasted nuts, a tangy acidity and medium body.
